Ski / Snow Tubing Outing

There are some plans in the works for a Skiing/Snow Tubing outing.

We need to figure out if people want to ski or snow tube in order to decide where to go. Many families are already booked for Saturdays and weekday rates are cheaper so we're planning a weekday. Once we discern what people want to do we can pick a date, but we are open to suggestions between now and Feb. 16th.

Below are prices and activities offered at each place as well as location.

Chestnut Mountain Galena, IL
Skiing & snowboarding all levels beginner to advanced, but bunny hills have a rope tow. They have a great wide, easy run for beginners, some really nice blue and black runs for more aggressive skiers, and some nice in between blue runs too.
Lift $26
Lift, lesson, and rental $46

Sundown Mountain Dubuque, IA
Skiing & snowboarding all levels beginner to advanced. The bunny hills have the conveyer belt or a 2 seat chair lift. This is where we went last time.
Lift $22
Lift, rental, and lesson $38

7 Oaks Recreation Center Boone, IA
Snow tubing, skiing, snowboarding. Skiing and snowboarding is perfect for beginners and first timers. The only weekday with day hours is Friday
Skiing and snow boarding:
Lift & rental 12 and under $34
13 & older $45
Lift only 12 & under $15
13 & older $22
Tubing available only 4-9pm on Fridays:
Lift for tubing only $15 for 2hrs, $5/hr for each additional hour
If you get a ski lift and rental you can tube for free. If just a lift ticket, it's a $5 fee to tube also. I think I understand that right.

Helmet rentals available to rent at all 3 locations. There are terrain parks at all 3 locations as well.

Please respond with your preference on where you'd like to go and weekdays between now and Feb. 16. If you'd only want to snow tube, please be sure to let us know so we can plan accordingly. We need a group of 10 for the rates at 7 Oaks and 15 at Chestnut and Sundown. There is another snow tubing place in Altoona that's another option if there's a bunch of people that want to tube, but don't want to go all the way to Boone. Please email me feedback as soon as possible so reservations can be made.
